Paintball is not as fun as it is when you play in one of the paintball tournaments you always hear about. It is more challenging this way and you know you will get awarded for your efforts. Paintball tournaments are probably taking place only in the summer, so if you want to get to take part in one you better keep your eyes open for any opportunity.

So, for any paintball tournaments you will need a team. And when I say team, I mean a bunch of your friends that can use a paintball gun. If you want to win any of the paintball tournaments you enter, you’d better start practicing. Oh, and one more thing, the paintball tournaments usually require some money as an entry fee, but it shouldn’t be too large because usually these paintball tournament are sponsored and the prizes are received for free by the owner of the equipment and the field you are playing in.

Tactics is everything in paintball tournaments and indeed, some teams use NAVY Seal tactics to win the tournament. I know that is a bit extreme and over done, but if you want to win and have all the glory, you should better be prepared for it.

Any way, anyone should try keeping paintball tournaments as fun as possible, so please, at least when you play against normal people, no NAVY seals tactics please, we’re not in Iraq. And another thing, if you really want to use them, please let us know so we can fight dirty.

So, are you thinking of making a business or just having some fun on the weekends with your best friends? Paintball equipment is the best way to go for either of those two and you need to know a couple of things about it.

First of all, you need a complete set of paintball equipment for each player, so to speak. This means obviously the gun, the helmet, the glasses and the protective suit for the body. Now, the idea is that you can have a lot of fun with this activity, but you still need to make sure no one gets hurt. One paintball to the eye and your done, so don’t try saving money on that. Make sure that you find good quality paintball equipment, regardless of the price. Well, make sure that you are not paying too much either, so try balancing quality with price.

Paintball equipment can be of several types, especially the guns. Now, I don’t know exactly what to suggest, but there are a couple of quality brands that supply paintball equipment that almost everyone uses, so I guess you should go with that.

Now, the paintballs themselves are also important, and I would suggest buying the most expensive ones. Well, I don’t want you to spend more money on this paintball equipment, but the cheap paintballs are just useless, either because they break in half and jam the gun or because they are simply too big or too small to shoot properly out of the gun.

Indoor paintball has just started to grow the last couple of years, developing as a branch from the traditional outdoor version. I guess you can probably see why indoor paintball is useful, it’s because you can play with your friends the whole year around without getting a cold. I know you can play the outdoor version the whole year around, but I like being warm if possible, since we aren’t really fighting for our lives.

There are many things to say about indoor paintball and since it’s only started to grow there aren’t too many places where you can practice it right now. That is probably because not too many people are willing to invest in creating a fighting environment inside a building. They rather just put some tires out on a field, maybe in the forest and let you guys fight out there, with the only investment being the actually paintball equipment.

Still, you will be able to find indoor paintball areas in large warehouses that have been abandoned or taken out of use. Those would at least keep you away from the weather a bit even if it wouldn’t be too warm in there. I also think that finding an old warehouse limits the environment investment to a minimum and allows the owner to attract more players. For me at least, urban environments seem more challenging and I would love to fight inside an old building or something like that, where you have levels and everything to make it interesting.

So, you need to buy paintball guns, but where could you get them without spending a fortune but still being able to use them for a little fun n the weekends, or maybe even start a small business? Renting is out of the question, since the money you pay to rent the paintball guns a couple of times already is enough to buy paintball guns, so don’t even think about that.

To buy paintball guns, you need to make sure that you understand a couple of things about them before you go looking for a place to buy them from. First there’s the budget, of course, and you need to make that your top priority to stick to, since this is only a hobby and nothing more. If you only play a couple of weekends each summer there are some very cheap choices that are reliable and very useful. They will do the job nicely. However, if you want to make a little more out of it, you could probably buy paintball guns that aren’t so cheap and use them to get better at the game. For an idea, I will let you know that you can paintball guns ranging from 60 to 150 dollars, and you will probably be better off if you went with something in the middle of that range.

Before you buy paintball guns, regardless of the price range, you need to make sure that the parts are not expensive. This is easy to do because there are many guns with parts supplied by several manufacturers, and when the competition is fierce the prices go down.
